About the Company
Our client is a dynamic, multi-site, national group based in the inner-northern suburbs of Melbourne. With a fast-paced and team-oriented culture, they are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their close-knit team. The role will be based full-time in the office with some work from home flexibility where required.
The Role
Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, your key responsibilities will include:
Daily import of sales data from POS systems into the ERP
Bank and credit card reconciliations across multiple accounts
Payroll preparation - collating and reviewing for sign-off (processing handled externally)
Monthly P&L; preparation and assisting with month-end tasks
Reconciliation of function deposits and balance sheet entries
Preparation of monthly BAS
Ad hoc reporting and finance tasks as required
The Ideal Candidate




We are looking for a diligent and efficient Bookkeeper who thrives in a quick-paced environment. To be successful, you will have
3+ years' experience in a bookkeeping role or equivalent.
Strong understanding of accounting principles (debits/credits)
Advanced Excel skills and experience using Xero
Excellent attention to detail and time management
A proactive approach with a willingness to learn new things
Excellent communication skills and a desire to work closely with teams in other departments
A minimum Cert IV in Bookkeeping or Diploma in Accounting
