Hays has been engaged exclusively to appoint a Cloud Engineer who will play a critical role in shaping and supporting the organisation's cloud and AI platform roadmap.

Your new role
n
Reporting to the Head of Strategy, you'll join a growing technology function and work closely with an AI Specialist to design, build and support secure cloud platforms, automation capabilities and emerging AI solutions. This is a genuinely hands-on engineering position where you'll be actively building and supporting Azure environments rather than simply governing or overseeing them.

Key responsibilities include:
n

Building, maintaining and supporting Azure cloud environments
n
Developing and managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
n
Deploying and supporting AI and automation solutions
n
Building cloud infrastructure to support AI agents and internal automation platforms
n
Developing and maintaining scripts using Python, Bash and Azure CLI
n
Managing containerised applications and services
n
Supporting PostgreSQL databases and cloud integrations
n
Supporting SharePoint integrations and cloud services
n
Deploying and maintaining cloud-hosted web applications
n
Collaborating with internal technology teams and external partners
n
Supporting solutions through the full life cycle from development to production operations
n

What you'll need to succeed
n
To be successful, you'll bring strong cloud engineering experience and enjoy solving technical challenges in a fast-moving environment where innovation is encouraged.

You'll demonstrate:
n

Strong Azure Cloud Engineering experience
n
Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline expertise
n
Strong Python scripting skills
n
Experience with Bash, Azure CLI and infrastructure automation
n
Experience with containerisation technologies
n
A proven track record supporting production cloud environments
n
Strong troubleshooting, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
n
n
Highly regarded experience includes:
n
n
PostgreSQL
n
AI, machine learning or agentic AI solutions
n
Cloud security and authentication frameworks
n
Modern AI application deployment
n
SharePoint integrations
n
Cloud-hosted web application support
n
Azure certifications such as AZ-104 or AZ-400
n
