About the Opportunity
n
We are seeking an experienced Female Community Services Trainer & Assessor to join our team on the beautiful Tiwi Islands in the Northern Territory.
n
This is an excellent chance for an experienced trainer who is passionate about vocational education, community services and supporting learners in a remote Aboriginal community.
n
You will deliver engaging, culturally appropriate training and assessment while supporting students to successfully complete their Community Services qualifications and develop skills for employment.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Deliver and assess Community Services qualifications.
n
Facilitate engaging classroom, practical and workplace-based learning.
n
Provide individual mentoring and support to students.
n
Develop and maintain quality training and assessment resources.
n
Conduct workplace visits and assessments.
n
Maintain accurate student records and assessment documentation.
n
Ensure training and assessment meets RTO compliance requirements.
n
Build positive relationships with students, employers and community stakeholders.
n
Work respectfully within the Tiwi Islands community and local cultural environment.
n

About You
n
n
A current TAE***** Certificate IV in Training and Assessment,



or equivalent.
n
A relevant Community Services qualification (Certificate IV, Diploma or higher).
n
Current industry experience in community services, disability, mental health, family support, youth work, aged care or a related field.
n
Experience delivering and assessing nationally recognised training.
n
Strong communication, mentoring and interpersonal skills.
n
A genuine commitment to working respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
n
The ability to work independently in a remote environment.
n
A current driver's licence.
n
The ability to obtain relevant police and working-with-children clearances.
n
Previous experience working in remote communities and/or with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learners will be highly regarded.
