Management Accountant (Level 6)
Drive strategic costing, budgeting and financial analysis within a leading WA Government agency Your new company An exciting opportunity has become available with Landgate, Western Australia's land information authority, within their Finance team based in Midland. This organisation plays a critical role in supporting the state's economic development and service delivery, while fostering a cooperative and versatile working environment. The position has become available due to an extended leave arrangement and offers an initial 6-month contract with a further 6-month extension opportunity and potential longer-term prospects. Located at Midland Square, the role offers a hybrid working arrangement with a minimum of three days per week in the office and flexibility to work from home up to two days each week.
Your new role Reporting to the Senior Manager, Investment Assurance & Costing, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing Landgate's Corporate Cost Model, providing financial analysis and commercial insights that support organisational decision-making. This position sits within a specialist finance function and works closely with senior stakeholders across the business.
Key responsibilities
Managing and maintaining the Corporate Cost Model (CCM) and associated costing methodologies
Undertaking financial modelling, forecasting and strategic financial analysis
Supporting annual budget preparation, revenue modelling and budget submissions
Preparing corporate KPI reporting and assisting with performance analysis
Conducting profitability, cost and revenue analysis to support strategic decision-making




Providing commercial insights and recommendations to senior leadership
Developing and maintaining reporting frameworks and financial governance processes
Partnering with stakeholders across the business to improve financial management practices
Responding to ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requests as required
Supporting budgeting, forecasting and planning activities across the finance function.
What you'll need to succeed
Extensive experience in Management Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis or a similar role
Strong financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting experience
Advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyse complex financial data
Experience maintaining or developing corporate costing models, particularly Activity-Based Costing (ABC), highly regarded
Knowledge of government budgeting and financial planning cycles, particularly within the WA public sector, will be highly advantageous
Experience using Oracle or similar ERP systems
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
CA or CPA qualification, or progress towards professional accreditation, will be highly regarded.
