About the Job The successful applicant will be responsible for: Planning and managing civil engineering aspects of residential construction projects.
Preparing specifications and technical documentation.
Conducting site inspections and evaluating soil, drainage and foundation conditions.
Coordinating engineering requirements with architects, surveyors, builders and subcontractors.
Ensuring construction works comply with Australian Standards, the National Construction Code (NCC), local council requirements and relevant legislation.
Monitoring construction progress and providing technical guidance during project delivery.
Reviewing engineering calculations, structural reports and construction methodologies.
Assisting with cost estimates, project scheduling and resource planning.
Identifying engineering risks and implementing practical solutions.
Liaising with regulatory authorities and consultants to obtain required approvals.
Preparing project reports, engineering documentation and compliance records.




Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project quality, safety and efficiency.
Essential Selection Criteria Applicants must have: A Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
At least three years of relevant post-qualification experience as a Civil Engineer.
Strong knowledge of Australian engineering principles, construction practices and relevant legislation.
Experience interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and project coordination skills.
Robust written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Desirable Experience in residential housing developments.
Knowledge of Victorian planning and building requirements.
Experience using engineering and design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit or similar.
Current Australian driver's license.
