Lead critical health monitoring programs across a complex operational workforce Drive fit-for-work, drug alcohol, fatigue and psychosocial risk programs Senior advisory role with strong influence across workplace health strategy Principal Advisor, Health Wellbeing BrisbaneCBD | Hybrid working available $120 per hour + super | Contract opportunity We are seeking an experienced Principal Advisor – Health Wellbeing to lead and strengthen critical workplace health programs across a large and diverse operational workforce.
This is a senior, hands-on opportunity for someone with proven experience implementing and managing health monitoring, fit-for-work and psychosocial risk programs within a complex organisation.
The Role You will take ownership of key workplace health and wellbeing programs, translating WHS legislative requirements into practical, organisation-wide solutions.
Key responsibilities include: Lead the governance, implementation and oversight of health monitoring programs required under WHS legislation, including workers exposed to hazardous substances and prescribed hazards.
Coordinate health surveillance, medical review processes and appropriate responses to monitoring outcomes.
Lead and strengthen fit-for-work programs , including drug and alcohol and fatigue management.
Develop and implement psychosocial risk management frameworks, assessments and controls.
Provide specialist advice to operational leaders on complex workplace health and wellbeing matters.
Develop policies, procedures, frameworks and supporting documentation.
Manage relationships with external health providers and specialist services.
Deliver training and build organisational capability across workplace health and wellbeing.
About You We are looking for someone with significant workplace health, safety and wellbeing experience who has personally implemented and managed these programs in practice .
You will ideally bring:
5+ years' relevant workplace health, safety and wellbeing experience.
Strong experience managing legislated health monitoring programs .
Demonstrated experience with fit-for-work programs, including drug and alcohol and fatigue management .
Strong experience in psychosocial risk management .
Experience developing business-wide health and safety solutions, policies and frameworks.
Strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to independently solve complex workplace health challenges.
Experience within construction, civil infrastructure, mining, utilities, transport, manufacturing or another high-risk operational environment will be highly regarded.
