Location: Western Australia and Northern Territory (FIFO) Full Time – Minimum 2-year commitment RESPONSIBILITIES General Duties – Exploration and Resource Definition: · Design and execute comprehensive diamond and RC drilling programs aimed at testing new targets and for upgrading resource confidence (Inferred to Indicated/Measured).
· Supervise geological logging, sampling protocols, and QA/QC programs to ensure data integrity for resource modeling.
· Manage the interpretation of geological data to build robust 3D geological and structural models.
· Collaborate with resource estimation specialists to deliver updated Mineral Resource Estimates in accordance with JORC standards.
Cross Functional Duties: · Hydrogeology: Oversee the siting, drilling, and implementation of water bore networks for both dewatering requirements and operational water supply.
· Geotechnical: Manage geotechnical drilling campaigns and logging to provide critical data for pit slope design or underground stability analysis.
· Metallurgy: Ensure representative samples are collected and dispatched for metallurgical test work to define processing recovery parameters.
Collaboration Communication: · Liaise effectively with other site personnel to complete studies and planning to a technically high level.
· Liaise with mining engineers to ensure resource models are "mineable" and fit for production scheduling.
· Manage technical contractors and consultants, ensuring all work is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required technical standard.
· Prepare technical chapters for Definitive Feasibility Studies (DFS).
REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Geology • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience working as an exploration and/or mine geologist is typically required.
This experience should include: • Specific experience in gold exploration is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and manage drilling activities drilling, sampling and mapping.
• Experience in planning, designing, and supervising drilling programs (both RC and diamond).
• A solid understanding of structural controls on gold mineralization and experience in structural mapping and interpretation.
• High level skills with 3D modelling, with Leapfrog experience considered favourably.
• Familiarity with geotechnical data collection and its relevance to mine safety and stability.
• Prior experience in mentoring, supervising, or leading junior geologists, technicians, or field teams is highly valued.
• Experience in managing geological projects, including planning, budgeting, and execution.
KEY SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES • A deep understanding of ore deposit geology, mineralization processes, and exploration techniques.
• Ability to interpret complex geological data and solve practical mining-related problems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting, presentations, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• A strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures in a mining workplace.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and across different departments.
