casual loading) + shift loadings and overtime, where applicable Paid travel time with transport provided Company-provided soft tissue specialist appointments Boots and PPE provided About Our Role Seasonal Pea Harvester Operator positions Work across the Midlands and Northern Tasmania (transport provided and travel paid) Approx.
10-week season Here at Simplot, we are seeking safety-focused Pea Harvester Operators for our upcoming harvest season.
Working across the Midlands and Northern Tasmania, the Pea Harvester Operator will work approximately 12-hour days (exclusive of travel) with daily paddock start times of ****hrs.
Transport from our Wesley Vale depot is provided, with company-provided overnight accommodation available for remote harvest locations.
Commencing in late October / early November for training and seasonal harvesting, these roles are ideal for tertiary agriculture students looking to further develop their harvest knowledge and practical experience during university semester breaks.
Base rate of pay, inclusive of 25% casual loading, is $***** p/h, with shift allowances, penalties and overtime applying where applicable.
What You Will Do Working as part of an experienced harvest crew and safely operating a self-propelled pea harvester (e.g. Oxbo GP****), duties will include, but are not limited to: Primarily operate / drive a modern fleet of pea harvesters Undertake machinery pre-start checks,



including oil and fluid checks and tyre pressure checks Refuel harvesters and associated auxiliary equipment Review daily harvest plans and work in accordance with those plans Use radio communication to coordinate with fellow Harvester Operators, Maintenance team members and Team Leaders Contribute to safety initiatives and continuous improvement (CI) programs About You The successful candidate will possess the following attributes: 100% commitment to safety, health and wellbeing in the workplace Current and valid Australian driver's licence Harvester, tractor or mobile plant operating experience will be highly regarded Ability to work 12-hour shifts with ****hrs paddock starts (exclusive of travel time) across Northern Tasmania, including overnight stays where required Demonstrated mechanical aptitude Availability to commence in late October / early November and commit to the full season (approximately 10 weeks) Ability to successfully complete pre-employment medical screening, including urine-based drug and alcohol testing Please click on the Apply button to submit your application, including a cover letter outlining your interest and suitability, along with an up-to-date resume (noting that you will be redirected to the Simplot Careers portal).
