Mechanical Engineer – Springvale, VIC Kogan People Solutions, recruiters, are working with a successful and well-regarded industrial engineering and equipment supplier focused on gas safety and combustion systems.
With over three decades in the industry, this firm has earned excellent reputation in design and supply of gas safety combustion equipment for industries including CSG/LNG, steel, nickel, aluminium, power generation, plaster board, textiles, food, alternative fuels, automotive, oil, and mining.
This is a great opportunity to work across the full project lifecycle, from concept and design through to commissioning and client support, on technically challenging and safety-critical systems at their world class facilities.
About the role: As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, delivery, and optimisation of gas and combustion systems, supporting both standard and custom-engineered solutions.
This position requires strong technical capability, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and clients.
Location: Springvale, VIC Tenure: Full-time and ongoing Salary: A excellent salary is offered in the range of $80k to $85k plus superannuation per annum.
The duties and responsibilities of the position will include: Lead end-to-end delivery of gas and fuel system projects, including design, CAD modelling, and preparation of technical documentation.
Coordinate manufacturing and project execution, including procurement, planning, and assembly.
Perform engineering calculations, sizing, and component selection in line with relevant Australian Standards such as, AS ****, AS ****.
Provide technical support during installation and commissioning, including troubleshooting and occasional site visits.




Review and oversee quality assurance and functional testing to ensure compliance with specifications and safety requirements.
Improve engineering processes, documentation, and workflows to drive efficiency and consistency.
Support and maintain quality management systems such as, ISO **** and continuous improvement initiatives.
Contribute to new product development and customised solutions.
Provide technical support to clients, contractors, and industry stakeholders.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
You should be able to demonstrate the following attributes and strengths to be considered: Highly relevant bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
At least 1 or more years of verifiable relevant professional experience preferably in industrial systems, gas, combustion, or process engineering environment.
Proficiency in technical skills, engineering software, tools, and technologies related to mechanical engineering.
Experience and proficiency in engineering drawings, CAD software, and documentation practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.
Excellent communication skills, patience and empathy.
Knowledge of relevant engineering standards and compliance regulations.
Be energetic and hard working.
Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
You must have unrestricted full time Australian working rights to be considered.
