As a Senior Environmental Consultant, you will lead complex projects and programmes of work across the transport, energy, technology and water sectors.
This is a hands on opportunity for a proactive, self-motivated professional who enjoys taking ownership, building strong client relationships and delivering practical solutions to environmental challenges.
Working closely with multidisciplinary teams and clients, you will drive projects from planning through to delivery while contributing to the ongoing success of the Victorian Workplace team.
You will bring strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, and confidence translating complex technical information into clear, practical advice for non-technical audiences.
The Opportunity Lead environmental assessment and approvals work on major infrastructure projects in Victoria, with opportunities to contribute to projects across Australia.
Be trusted to bring structure and drive to complex projects, helping teams keep work moving through tight timelines and competing priorities.
Build trusted relationships with clients and regulators by distilling complex information into advice people can act on.

Is this role right for you?
5-12 years relevant industry experience in a consulting, private industry, or a government environment Experience in environmental impact assessment, environmental planning and/or environmental approval processes within Victoria (experience in EESs and EPA permissions would be favourable) Relevant industry experience in major transport, water infrastructure and/or renewable energy projects within a consulting or government business environment would be looked upon favourably Confident written communication skills, with the ability to turn complex technical, regulatory and project information into clear reports and actionable advice for clients, project teams and regulators.
Ability to bring structure and momentum to complex,



fast-moving projects by coordinating multiple workstreams, tracking priorities and communicating progress clearly with internal leaders, clients and regulators, ensuring project teams stay aligned.
A natural collaborator who enjoys working with people across different disciplines, building positive relationships and helping technical and non-technical teams work together towards practical environmental outcomes.
Experience supporting or leading the delivery of complex approval pathways, bringing together scope, program, technical inputs and commercial awareness to support work that is well-managed, purposeful and grounded in good environmental outcomes.
