Are you an experienced fixed plant professional who enjoys sharing your knowledge, developing others and helping build a stronger safety culture?
Our client is a respected and safety-focused Australian gold producer looking for a confident Fixed Plant Trainer/Assessor to join their team in the Northeast Pilbara of Western Australia.
This is a excellent opportunity to step into a hands-on and varied training role, working closely with site teams to ensure employees are trained, competent and ready to safely perform their roles.
The position will initially be offered on a 3-month contract, with a view to becoming permanent for the right person.
We're open to both candidates looking for a contract opportunity and those interested in long-term stability.
The Opportunity Working on an 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO roster with flights on Fridays, you'll work alongside another experienced trainer as part of a supportive and established training team.
You'll be joining at an exciting time, with the team preparing for a major mill shutdown in November.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, is confident working across site and wants to make a genuine impact through quality training and assessment.
What You'll Be Doing Deliver training and assessments across a range of fixed plant operations Conduct VOCs for high-risk work including confined space, working at heights, forklifts, loaders, EWPs, cranes and gantry cranes Support and oversee permit to work processes and isolation procedures Facilitate general inductions for new starters and contractors Maintain accurate training records and compliance documentation Work closely with site supervisors and safety teams to ensure training aligns with operational requirements Support the wider training team as required About You You're an experienced and confident fixed plant professional who genuinely enjoys developing people and sharing your knowledge.
You're hands-on, adaptable and comfortable working in an operational environment where no two days are necessarily the same.
You understand the importance of safety, compliance and competency, and you're confident engaging with people across all levels of site.
Most importantly, you're someone who can hit the ground running and help fill an important gap within an established training team.
What We're Looking For Solid experience working in fixed plant operations Previous experience delivering training and/or VOCs Experience with a combination of: Confined Space Working at Heights Forklifts Loaders EWPs Cranes Gantry Cranes Strong understanding of permit to work and isolation procedures Cert IV in Training and Assessment (TAE***** or equivalent) highly desirable Ability to work an 8/6 FIFO roster Available for an immediate or short-notice start What's On Offer?
$70 - $85 per hour, depending on experience Initial 3-month contract with a view to permanent FIFO 8/6 roster with flights on Fridays Opportunity to join a well-established and safety-focused team Varied, hands-on training role Play a key role in supporting site operations ahead of a major November shutdown Please Note This role is open to applicants currently residing in Western Australia with full Australian working rights.
