Job Description
We're looking for a Project Commercial Manager to lead the commercial and procurement function on a current overlay and event delivery programme with a state government client. Gold Coast based, the role joins an established motorsport and major events delivery team.

This is not a back-office role — you'll sit at the centre of delivery, shaping commercial strategy, driving procurement outcomes, and protecting project performance in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.

You'll work closely with Project Directors, engineers and delivery teams to ensure projects are commercially sound, contractually robust and financially controlled from day one through to close-out.

Key Responsibilities
n
Establish and maintain multi-dimensional cost reporting for the programme — FMS development, cost report structure, live Actual + Forecast Cost position.
n
Prepare and present monthly commercial reporting to the client.
n
Sequence and deliver procurement packages against the delivery programme; provide commercial review of RFT packs before market issue.
n
Own the change control and variations register — working with Project Managers,



Project Engineers and Contract Administrator end-to-end.
n
Maintain the Value Management register and support VE cycles at key design milestones.
n
Provide direction and development support to a project-based Contract Administrator.
n
Establish the commercial setup in iEDM's FMS as a reusable template for future EPCM engagements.

What You'll Bring
n
Demonstrated commercial management on programmes of comparable complexity — multi-package, multi-contractor, live delivery.
n
Experience in procurement for Government clients.
n
Multi-dimensional cost reporting experience — chart of accounts setup, forecast discipline, executive reporting.
n
Variation management from technical assessment through cost, negotiation and approval.
n
Contract administration under Australian construction and events contract forms.
n
Experience with a structured cost management or commercial system.
n
Experience in a procurement, purchasing or supply chain role preferred — major event or construction project experience is a plus
n
Knowledge of procurement best practice, tendering, contract documentation, probity and sourcing strategies
n
EPCM or head contractor commercial models.
n
Temporary or event infrastructure sector experience.
n
Prior involvement in commercial system framework development.
