About the Role
Do you have a green thumb? If so, this could be the perfect role for you. Our clients enjoy gardening and spending time outdoors, and we are looking for passionate, proactive Disability Support Workers to provide active support in their day-to-day lives.
We have casual opportunities available to join our Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Lifestyles teams in
Rockhampton
. In this role, you will support people with disability in shared housing or in their own homes, assisting with a range of supports including personal care, daily living activities, community access, and participation in outdoor and recreational activities.




You can expect to work across a 24/7 roster, including weekends, sleepover shifts, short shifts, and split shifts
.
Key Responsibilities
Follow person-centred support and behaviour plans
Assist clients to achieve their goals through meaningful activities and community participation
Support clients with daily living activities, personal care, and skill development
Maintain accurate and timely documentation and record keeping
Build positive relationships with clients, families, advocates, and colleagues
Promote and advocate for client choice, independence, and control
Skills & Experience
A passion for working with people with disability
Experience and ability in supporting people with complex support needs and behaviours of concern
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Availability to work a rotating 24/7 roster
An unrestricted Australian driver's licence
A current First Aid and CPR Certificate
Successful candidates will be required to undertake relevant pre-employment checks to ensure the safety of our clients. This includes a National Criminal History Record Check; QLD Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and a NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
