Machinery Spray Painter
Join an established heavy-equipment business and apply your automotive refinishing expertise across a varied fleet of new, used and hire construction machinery. Working within a team, you'll be responsible for diagnosing paint issues, completing high-quality repairs and refinishing work, and ensuring the spray booth and paint shop remain safe, compliant and well maintained.
Pay rate:
$45-$50 per hour + Overtime

What you'll be responsible for
Prepare, repair and spray-paint new, used and hire construction equipment
Diagnose paint defects and recommend cost-effective repair solutions
Mix and apply paint using appropriate refinishing systems and techniques
Operate and maintain the spray booth in accordance with industry and safety standards
Maintain the paint shop, equipment and work areas to a high standard
Complete accurate reports and maintain records of work performed
Provide photographs and supporting documentation for warranty repairs
Monitor paint, consumable and workshop stock levels
About you
You'll be a skilled and safety-focused spray painter with strong attention to detail and pride in producing a quality finish. You will bring:
Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology or an equivalent qualification




Post-trade experience
Experience with paint preparation, colour matching, mixing systems and spray-booth operations
Strong knowledge of safe working practices within the painting and refinishing industry
The ability to diagnose paint issues and determine practical repair methods
Experience working with heavy machinery, construction equipment, trucks or industrial vehicles will be highly regarded
