This exciting new role offers the opportunity to make a lasting contribution to the spiritual life of the School, inspiring and nurturing faith through meaningful liturgical and sacramental experiences.
The role is permanent full time and will commence in Term 4, **** or to be mutually agreed.
The Role
Lead and coordinate the School's liturgical and sacramental life, developing meaningful liturgies, Eucharistic celebrations and prayer experiences that reflect Gospel, Ignatian and Loreto values.
Plan and oversee the School's liturgical and sacramental programs, including whole-school celebration, the sacramental programs, record keeping, liturgical calendar and budget across the School community.
Build and maintain key relationships with clergy, the Broken Bay Diocese and other stakeholders to support sacramental programs, Masses and liturgical celebrations.
Support and develop student leadership and participation in the faith life of the School, including mentoring the School Mission Captain, Student Liturgy Committee and Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist.
Manage liturgical resources and continually enhance programs, overseeing the Chapel, ensuring resources are maintained, evaluating initiatives and supporting events outside standard school hours as required.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Must hold a valid Working with Children Check.
A qualified secondary teacher witha current NESA accreditation.
Demonstrated understanding of Catholic identity,liturgyand sacramental theology.
Demonstrated understanding of faith formation as a lifelong process of personal,spiritualand professional growth.
Ability to design,facilitateand evaluate engaging prayer, liturgical and sacramental experiences that foster participation,reflectionand discernment.
Ability to collaborate effectively with students, staff, families,clergyand relevant stakeholders to strengthen the Catholic and Loreto identity of theSchool.
Commitment to ongoing theological formation and faith development in the tradition of Ignatian spirituality and the charism and educational vision of Mary Ward.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate multiple events and programs, and meet deadlines.
