The HPLSWomen'sServiceis a gendered service that provides specialistassistance to women, trans and gender diverse people who are atrisk of being evicted, homeless, and/or facing other barriers to accessing and maintaining safe and stable housing.
n
Reporting to the Managing Solicitor,theSocial Workerwill work with HPLS Women's Service lawyers tosupport clients to achieve better outcomes through holistic service delivery. Additionally,



you will:

n
workwithHPLS solicitors toidentifyand address the support needs of clients.
n
refer and support clients to obtainappropriate housing,drugand alcohol treatment, communityservicesand other relevant supports in the community.
n
participate in and contribute to research and advocacy to address the systemic issues women face in their interactions with the justice system.
n
n
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in the delivery of support services to women and or trans and gender diversepeople. You will also have:
n
n
experience in trauma-informed service deliveryand integrated practice principles.
n
an understanding of the impacts ofdomestic and family violence or sexual assault and/or with homelessness.
n
a commitment to social justice principles.
n
n
