Job Description
Are you an experienced Project Manager looking to join a dynamic engineering consultancy?

Paragon Engineering is seeking a proactive and organised individual to act as a key interface between our internal design teams and external stakeholders. This role requires someone with strong organisational skills, a deep understanding of basic design principles, and experience coordinating across interdisciplinary teams such as geotechnical, drafting, and structural design.

The Role:
n
Due to continued growth, we are searching for a Design Manager to join our team in a newly created role—offering the opportunity to shape internal systems, streamline processes, and make an impact on project delivery.
n
Key Responsibilities:
n
n
Liaisebetween internal teams (design, geotechnical, structural) andexternal stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, anddeliverables and ensure that client requirements are translatedinto designs.
n
Coordinateproject schedules and track progress, ensuring adherence todelivery timelines as well as attending project meetings andproviding updates on project milestones.
n
Conductinspections and assessments of infrastructure assets, includingbridges and wastewater facilities, ensuring compliance withrelevant regulations and standards.
n
Preparedetailed inspection/condition assessment reports, analysis, andrecommendations based on findings.
n
Overseecontrol of all project documents, including sharing emails,progress reports and technical documentation.
n
Monitorproject budgets and invoicing, reporting on financial performanceto ensure alignment with project goals.
n
Assistwith project compliance and quality assurance across various disciplines.
n

Requirements
n
About You
n
Tobe considered for the role, you must have
n
n
4+years of experience as a Project Engineer or Co-ordinator withina design office or consultancy environment within Australia,preferably involving infrastructure assets and/ormultidisciplinary projects. More experienced candidates areencouraged to apply.
n
Adegree in Civil/Structural Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia.
n
Strongknowledge of basic design principles, especially in structuraland/or geotechnical projects.
n
Excellentcommunication skills, with the ability to facilitate effectivecommunication among project teams, clients, and externalstakeholders to ensure alignment and stakeholder satisfaction.
n
Strongorganisational and switchtasking abilities, ensuring that allproject documentation is up-to-date and deadlines are met.
n
Demonstratedproblem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressingtechnical challenges.
n
Strongtechnical reporting skills as well as knowledge of Engineeringand Drafting software
n
Proficiencyin MS Office, including Word, Excel, and project management software.
n
