Join the Cardiac Cath Unit at St John of God Geelong Hospital as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager on Permanent Part-Time position, working 28.5 hours per week. As a valued member of the team, you will contribute to the effective clinical management of the Cardiac Cath Unit and provide high-quality, comprehensive patient care. You will also support and supervise junior staff, promote safe and effective clinical practice, and deputise for and assist the Nursing Unit Manager as required.

Position Duties
n
n
The Position Assists the Nursing Unit Manager in collection of audits, statistics, staff performance management and productivity analysis data.
n
Monitors staff levels against budget/target levels related to number of bed days, occupancy and patient acuity.
n
Adjusts staffing levels in consultation with the Unit Manager and/or Coordinator according to changes in levels.
n
Assists the Nursing Unit Manager in identifying resource needs and developing budgets and operational plans.
n
Discusses any concerns regarding patients and staff with Nursing Unit Manager/Coordinator grievances,
difficulties etc.
n
Responsible for assisting the Nurse Unit Manager in following issues pertaining to human resources within the department and will assume full responsibility in the absence of the Nurse Unit Manager.
n
Demonstrates knowledge of/and functions in accordance with legislation and common law affecting nursing practice and acknowledges accountability/responsibility for own actions.
n
You will have a registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse and have well developed analytical and problem-solving skills and knowledge of acts and legislation that impact on the practice of nursing.
n
With demonstrated ability to develop and build effective nursing, medical and interdisciplinary relationships and teams.
n

Salary & Benefits
n
Salary: $120,835 - $124,903 per annum (pro rata basis for part time) plus 12% superannuation. Permanent part-time position working 28.5 hrs per week.
