About the role
The Williamstown Emergency Department has a fantastic chance for an experienced applicant to take on part time hours within our dynamic and supportive team. We are seeking applications for a 0.6 FTE position. Successful applicants should have some Anaesthetic or ICU experience and be aware of the occasional need to manage critically unwell patients whilst preparing for transfer to a larger facility. Good procedural and teaching skills are important. Williamstown Hospital is a small Public hospital which is part of the Western Health network. The ED is open from ********* everyday, with no night shifts and no on call.
Clinical care of patients in small 9 bed mixed ED with resuscitation capabilities
Stabilization of patients for transfer to larger hospitals
Will need to respond to ward MET calls (with critical care trained RN) while on shift.
Teaching/support of JMOs.
Independent practitioner, with good procedural skills.
Critical care experience (preferably some experience in Anaesthetics or ICU).
