Sous Chef Opportunities - Sydney | $85-105K + Super

We're currently recruiting for three Sous Chef opportunities across Sydney, each offering something quite different in terms of venue style, kitchen structure and career development.

1. Sous Chef - Waterfront Bistro | $100-105K + Super
A busy waterfront restaurant combining Modern Australian and Mediterranean cuisine with a robust casual dining focus.
Working closely with the Head Chef, this is a key kitchen leadership position for someone who enjoys both the food and the operational side of running a successful kitchen.
We're looking for:

- Strong Sous Chef experience in a quality-driven, high-volume restaurant
- Excellent food costing and commercial awareness
- Confident operational leadership across prep, service, ordering and stock control
- Ability to lead a team while maintaining high culinary standards
- Strong communication and organisational skills

2. Sous Chef - High Volume Pub | $90-95K + Super
A very busy, established pub operation focused on elevated versions of traditional pub classics.
This position is particularly suited to a Sous Chef who sees themselves as a strong kitchen leader. You'll spend plenty of time leading the pass, managing the brigade and ensuring service runs smoothly, while also being capable of stepping into broader management responsibilities when required.
We're looking for:

- Proven Sous Chef experience within a high-volume pub or similar environment
- Strong pass leadership and service management skills




- Ability to step into the kitchen and lead by example
- Comfortable assisting with food costing, stock and operational requirements
- A confident, hands-on leader who can develop and motivate a team

3. Sous Chef - CBD Pub | $85-90K + Super
An opportunity to join a well-established CBD pub with a solid food offering and consistent corporate functions trade.
This is an all-rounder position suited to a Sous Chef who enjoys variety and wants exposure across restaurant service, functions, prep and general kitchen operations.
We're looking for:

- Previous Sous Chef experience in a pub, restaurant or similar environment
- Solid understanding of modern pub food and high-volume service
- Experience across functions or events
- Reliable section and pass leadership
- Good organisational skills and a positive approach to team culture

About You
Across all three roles, we're looking for experienced chefs who are ready to take ownership, lead teams and contribute to a well-run kitchen.
All positions require:

- Proven Sous Chef experience
- Strong leadership and communication
- A hands-on approach to service
- High standards around food quality, hygiene and consistency
- Full Australian working rights
