The Position
Emergency Medicine Registrar/PHO - Full-time fixed term for 12 months

The Location
Our client is situated on one of Australia’s most beautiful coastal locations with idyllic tropical islands on your doorstep and a relaxed way of life. This is a large regional city with a local population of over 60,000 and a regional population of over 140,000. The local area has a well developed infrastructure and everything you would need and expect from a well developed regional city including outstanding private schools, shopping, restaurants and the beautiful natural tropical surrounds.

The Facility

- A 236-bed regional hospital that services 10 rural hospitals and multi-purpose health facilities across the region.

Embarking on a $250m redevelopment to provide an additional 112 inpatient beds and expansion of their outpatient services.



This facility provides a challenging and rewarding clinical case mix that includes busy inpatient and outpatient general medicine, paediatrics, surgery, orthopaedics, obstetrics & gynaecology and mental health services. These core inpatient services are well integrated with active emergency medicine, anaesthetic and intensive care departments and supported by a wide range of allied health services.

The Requirements
To apply you must

- MBBS or equivalent
- AHPRA General registration preferred
- CA pathway candidates with at least 1-2 years of ED experience encouraged to apply
- Standard pathway candidates must have at least 8 years of dedicated ED experience
- SIMG's with ACEM partially comparable outcome encouraged to apply
