What your day could look like
As a Registered Nurse or Anaesthetic Technician, you'll play an important role in helping patients feel secure, supported and cared for throughout their anaesthetic experience. Working alongside anaesthetists and multidisciplinary teams, you'll contribute to positive surgical outcomes through expert clinical support, teamwork and patient advocacy.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Supporting the safe delivery of anaesthetic care and responding confidently to changing patient needs.
- Collaborating with clinicians and theatre teams to achieve seamless, patient-centred care.
- Promoting quality, safety and best practice to enhance patient outcomes and service excellence.
- Sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive team culture.

You're someone who combines technical expertise with genuine care for people. Calm under pressure and focused on patient wellbeing, you communicate effectively, work collaboratively and take pride in delivering safe, high-quality care when it matters most. You'll be motivated by the opportunity to support patients through critical moments while continuing to develop your own skills and knowledge.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Current Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA or a recognised Anaesthetic Technician qualification.
- Experience in anaesthetic, perioperative or theatre environments.
- Strong clinical judgement and a commitment to patient safety.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have postgraduate anaesthetic qualifications, advanced perioperative experience and/or a passion for mentoring others.
