Consultant General Physician

Base Salary: MD2 $243,212 – $320,467 p.a. + applicable allowances
Advanced Trainees expecting to obtain FRACP in the near future are also strongly encouraged to enquire regarding 2026 and 2027 opportunities.

As a senior clinician, you will also:

- Provide clinical leadership across the medical service
- Supervise, support and teach junior medical staff and students
- Participate in the General Medicine on-call roster
- Contribute to clinical governance, audit and quality improvement
- Support service development and patient safety initiatives
- Participate in education, research and professional development activities

The Facility
You will join an established regional health network providing care across a broad geographic catchment. General Medicine plays an important role within the service, working closely with Emergency Departments, primary care and community health services to provide continuity of care for patients with a diverse range of medical conditions. The wider network provides the backing of an established public health service while still allowing physicians to enjoy the professional scope and involvement that comes with regional practice.

Requirements

- Hold FRACP in General and Acute Care Medicine
- Hold Specialist Registration with AHPRA
- Have recent and broad experience in General Medicine
- Demonstrate an interest in teaching, supervision and clinical leadership
- Be comfortable working within a multidisciplinary regional health environment
