We are seeking an experienced healthcare professional to take a senior leadership role within an established urgent care service.

This position is suited to a clinician who is ready to move beyond purely frontline practice and take greater ownership of people, performance, clinical standards and the patient journey.

You will be a visible leader within the service, working alongside the clinical team while taking responsibility for the way the service operates. Your judgement, leadership and ability to bring people together will be central to the success of the clinic.

The opportunity

No two days in urgent care are the same.

You will combine clinical practice with leadership responsibilities, responding to the needs of the service while supporting clinicians and ensuring patients receive an excellent standard of care.

A key part of the role will be creating an environment where clinicians can work effectively, patients move through the service appropriately, and operational issues are identified and resolved before they become barriers to care.

You will have the opportunity to influence how the clinic works locally and contribute ideas that improve both clinical outcomes and the experience of patients and staff.

What you will be responsible for

Your responsibilities will include:

- Providing senior clinical leadership and being a key point of escalation for the team.

- Supporting clinicians to deliver consistent, high-quality assessment and treatment.

- Maintaining appropriate clinical standards, documentation and governance processes.

- Leading and developing members of the clinical and support teams.





- Working with the broader team to build an effective workforce and roster.

- Identifying opportunities to improve how patients are assessed, treated and discharged.

- Monitoring service performance and taking action where improvements are required.

- Building productive relationships with local healthcare providers and referral partners.

- Ensuring the clinic has the people, equipment and resources required to operate effectively.

- Supporting recruitment, induction, performance management and professional development.

- Participating in quality improvement activities, reviews and audits.

- Contributing to the ongoing development of the service and its clinical model.

What we're looking for

You will bring strong clinical credibility together with the confidence to lead people and make decisions.

You must have:

- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse or Paramedic.

- At least three years' post-registration clinical experience in urgent care, emergency care, remote practice, paramedicine or a related setting.

- Experience working in a role involving clinical leadership, coordination or supervision.

- Sound clinical assessment and triage skills.





- The ability to remain calm and decisive in a busy environment.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage challenging conversations.

- A demonstrated ability to develop and motivate others.

- The capacity to balance clinical priorities with operational demands.

- A genuine interest in improving the way healthcare services are delivered.
