About the role

China Duan Pty Ltd trading as Goose Specialty Coffee and Envy Espresso is a cafe/restaurant dedicated to great food and coffee in a relaxed and welcoming environment. We are seeking an experienced barista to join our passionate and dynamic team. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for serving quality cups of coffee with friendly customer service and we are striving for the best specialty coffee experience.

Key responsibilities

- Knowledge about different coffee beans, brewing methods, and latte art, and able to maintain a clean and organized workspace

- Knowledge of opening and closing a cafe and the appropriate procedures

- Able to consistently deliver our specialty coffee to each customer

- Preparation of a variety of coffee beverages, adhering to our recipes and high quality standards





- Effective and good communication with the customers and the staff

- Ensuring the work area are cleaned and presentable

- Monitoring the stock level to avoid shortage and waste

- Mentoring of the team ensuring effective workflow

About you

- Minimum 1 year experience as a Barista in specialty coffee preparation

- Comprehensive understanding in specialty coffee including processing methods, variety and roasting

- Knowledge of coffee culture

- Ability to work in a busy environment with minimal supervision
