2 Positions available: Receptionist / Administration / Dental Assistant (P/T)
& 1 x Trainee – Business Administration (F/T) | Wollongong NSW

1) Receptionist /Administration /Dental Assistant –Part-time (3 or 4 days)
If successful you will work primarily in reception, while also undertaking general administrative duties and assisting our dental team when required.
This is a varied position where no two days are necessarily the same. You will work closely with our medical, dental and administration teams to ensure our patients receive a welcoming, professional and culturally safe experience.
Key Responsibilities
Reception & Customer Service
- Welcoming patients, clients and visitors
- Answering and directing telephone enquiries
- Managing appointments and reception enquiries
- Providing friendly and professional customer service
- Maintaining a welcoming and organised reception area
Administration
- Completing general administration and office duties
- Maintaining accurate records and information
- Processing paperwork and assisting with administrative processes
- Supporting medical, dental and corporate teams as requireD
- Assisting with data entry and other administrative tasks
Dental Assisting
- Providing support to dental clinicians when required
- Preparing and maintaining dental treatment areas
- Assisting during dental appointments within the scope of the role
- Cleaning,
sterilising and maintaining dental equipment and treatment areas in accordance with relevant procedures
- Supporting the dental team with general duties as required
About you
- Relevant previous experience. Previous experience in medical reception, dental reception, administration or dental assisting will be highly regarded.
- High level communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to prioritise
- Reliable, pragmatic, flexible and well organised
- Comfortable working across reception, administration and dental services
- Able to work effectively in a busy health-service environment
- Friendly, approachable, resilient and professional
- Willing to learn and take on different responsibilities
- Committed to confidentiality, professionalism and culturally protected service
- A positive team player who is happy to assist wherever needed
- Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
- Competent in the use of computer software, especially (PIMS) patient information system, experience in Communicare/ titanium highly regarded.
- Identifies as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander (desirable)

2) Trainee – Business Administration (Full-time)
We are also seeking an enthusiastic person to join IAMS as a Full-Time Business Administration Trainee, completing a Certificate III in Business Administration while gaining valuable practical workplace experience.
As a trainee, you will:
- Work on reception and welcome patients and visitors
- Answer phones and assist with enquiries
- Assist with appointments and administrative processes
- Complete general office and administration duties
- Develop computer, communication and customer service skills
- Assist different teams across IAMS as required
- Learn workplace systems and administrative procedures
- Complete your Certificate III in Business Administration
