Your Impact

As a Fixed Plant Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you'll lead the safe and efficient execution of fixed plant mechanical maintenance activities across Newmont's Tanami operation. Working closely with maintenance, reliability and operational teams, you'll optimise equipment performance, minimise downtime and ensure all maintenance activities are completed in accordance with statutory, safety and operational requirements.

As part of our team, you will

- Lead and coordinate daily and weekly fixed plant mechanical maintenance activities to safely deliver planned work and respond effectively to unplanned maintenance requirements.
- Supervise maintenance personnel and contractors, providing clear direction to achieve safety, quality, reliability and production targets.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory and site safety requirements governing mechanical equipment, installations and maintenance practices.
- Collaborate with planners, reliability teams and operational stakeholders to improve work management processes, equipment performance and maintenance planning outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement through workplace inspections, incident investigations, performance management, coaching and development of team members.

Prerequisites for your success in this role
- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter and Turner or Boilermaker.
- Minimum five years' experience within a mining, heavy industrial, processing or manufacturing environment, including at least two years in a supervisory capacity.
- Demonstrated leadership capability with the ability to effectively manage, mentor and develop tradespeople and apprentices.
- Strong understanding of mechanical maintenance practices,



statutory compliance requirements and safe work management systems.
- Well-developed communication, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to prioritise work in a dynamic operating environment.
- Current Australian driver's licence
- Mask fit ready

Your Work Environment

This permanent position is offered on a 8 days on 6 days off basis and is based at Newmont's Tanami operation in the Northern Territory.

As a fly-in, fly-out operation, Tanami provides up-to-date camp accommodation and facilities while on site. You'll work alongside multidisciplinary teams supporting one of Australia's premier underground gold mining operations.

You will have the opportunity to contribute to a safety-focused culture that values teamwork, innovation and continuous improvement in a technically challenging and unique operating setting.

Reporting to the Superintendent, Fixed Plant Surface, you will lead a team of maintenance personnel and work closely with planners, schedulers, reliability specialists, supply chain and operational stakeholders to deliver safe, reliable and efficient fixed plant maintenance outcomes.
