Leichhardt is an independent, Australian-owned solar salt project headquartered in Perth with operations in northern Western Australia. Our sites include the Lake MacLeod operations near Carnarvon and the Eramurra Project, 55km outside Karratha.

Lake MacLeod also produces approximately 1Mtpa of gypsum, predominantly exported to the Asia-Pacific region. Our gypsum operation includes excavation and water leaching to produce a plasterboard and cement grade product.

About the Role

We are seeking a Fixed Plant Boilermaker to carry out repair, preventative and breakdown maintenance and installation works at Lake MacLeod. This role is responsible for ensuring fixed plant and equipment are in a safe and operational condition.

This is a residential based role in Carnarvon on an even-time roster (6D, 6X).

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance on fixed plant and equipment such as conveyors, transfer chutes, hoppers, shiploaders and structural steelwork
- Undertake fabrication, welding,



repair and modification of fixed plant and associated infrastructure
- Repair and replace worn or damaged equipment
- Carry out repairs to conveyors, structures, frames, walkways, platforms and transfer points and associated equipment
- Interpret fabrication and engineering drawings and sketches along with manufacturer information to complete work correctly
- Work with Mechanical Fitters and other trades to complete combined maintenance activities.
- Complete work orders, notifications and maintenance history accurately in Pronto, including raising defect notifications
- Participate in planned shutdowns, major maintenance activities and improvement projects as required.

What We Are Looking For

To be considered for the role, you will have the following qualifications, skills, attributes and experience:

- Australian Trade Certificate in relevant discipline (Cert III in Engineering or Fabrication Trade)
- Current WA Drivers License (manual desirable)
- Working at Heights, Confined Space Entry, Gas Test Atmospheres, HRWL (desirable or willing to obtain)
- Fixed plant maintenance and fabrication experience in mining, minerals processing or heavy industrial.
- Hands-on experience with conveyors, chutes,



hoppers, screens, feeders, shiploader equipment and structural steelwork
- Experience with CMMS (Pronto XI desirable).

It will also be beneficial if you have:

- Working at Heights, Confined Space Entry, Gas Test Atmospheres, HRWL (advantageous or willing to obtain)

Eligibility

This is not a FIFO or DIDO prospect. Applicants must live or be willing to relocate to Carnarvon.
