Fuel Distributors of WA has a vacancy for a suitable qualified Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic.

What does the position entail:

Fuel Distributors of WA Pty Ltd has a fleet of 40 trucks and 60 dangerous goods trailers. Daily you will:

- Service and repair company trucks and trailers including work on electrics, driveline, transmissions, fuel systems, engines, steering and suspensions, braking and ancillary systems (Kenworth, Volvo's MAN's).

- Undertake breakdowns on Company vehicles including off site if required to ensure fleet interruptions are minimised.

- Identify defects in a timely manner and take necessary actions to control and repair.

- Ensure service and mechanical repairs comply with statutory inspections and Company standards.

- Complete required Company paperwork detailing servicing and repair work undertaken.

- Strive to maintain a clean work area at all times.

- Work as part of a strong team and be part of an on-call roster.

Experience and Qualifications Required:

To be considered for this position candidates will need to have:





- Recognised trade qualifications (Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic or Vehicle Mechanic).

- Previous experience in truck service workshop operations.

- Have experience using Tech Tool and Insite.

- Strong diagnosis skills including using wiring diagrams and executing repairs.

- HC Licence (or ability to obtain) is essential.

- Ability to obtain Dangerous Goods (DG) Licence.

- Strong mechanical aptitude.

- Self-motivated with the ability to work without supervision.

- Have high personal standards in relation to quality of work.

- Hold a current licence with clean driving record.
