About the role:
- Casual (est. 2 days per week), with the potential to grow to an ongoing permanent role
We are seeking a Clinical Trial Assistant to join our research team. This is a varied role providing administrative and research support across our portfolio of clinical trials (Phase 1-3 pharmaceutical, surgical and radiopharmaceutical oncology trials). The role will contribute to the coordination and administration of clinical trials across all stages of study conduct, including study start-up, ongoing study administration, participant scheduling, data entry, study documentation and close-out activities.
As a key member of the research team, the Clinical Trial Assistant will work collaboratively with our team of researchers, medical specialists, research nurses, and allied health professionals to deliver clinical trials to an excellent standard.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual seeking to develop a career in clinical research. Depending on experience and demonstrated capability, the position may progressively take on greater clinical trial coordination responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the administration and conduct of trials at site.
- Organise and schedule study visits, imaging and pathology requests, and other trial-related logistics.
- Enter and maintain study data accurately and efficiently.
- Support clinical trial administration, including filing documentation and responding to study-related queries.
- Assist with the management of study materials and supplies.
- Communicate effectively with research team, investigators and research nurses.
- Assist with the preparation, maintenance and filing of Investigator Site Files and other essential study documentation as required.
- Carry out activities in line with study protocols, SOPs, GCP and relevant regulatory requirements
About you:
To be successful in this position you will have excellent organisation and communication skills. Previous experience in clinical research, clinical trials or related medical research environment will be highly regarded. In addition, you will have well developed judgement and decision-making skills to prioritise conflicting demands and meet deadlines. You will also be a team player with the ability to support others in the team as needed.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in science, health science or a related discipline (essential)
- GCP certification (essential)
- Excellent communication,
organisational skills and attention to detail (essential)
- Previous experience in clinical trials or medical research (desirable)
- Experience working with clinical trial databases/EDC systems (desirable)
- Understanding of research ethics and clinical trial documentation (desirable)
