St Maroun's College is looking for a suitably qualified Economics teacher for year 11 and 12. The position will commence in Term 1 2027 and there is flexibility with a P/T or F/T load.
We are currently seeking to employ a Secondary Teacher to join our HSIE department as an Economics teacher. The ability to teach another subject would be an advantage. The successful applicant must be passionate about making a difference in students’ lives and within our College community. The position will commence in Term 1, 2027 for 12 months with a view to permanency.
Applicants must demonstrate the following desired skills and capabilities:
- Have a commitment and passion for teaching
- Able and qualified to teach Y11 and Y12 Economics
- A clear understanding of the ethos of Catholic Schools and a willingness to contribute to the faith formation of students
- Facilitate outcomes-based energetic and collaborative learning experiences using ICT to cater for the diverse learning needs of students
- Implement and evaluate cross-curriculum initiatives
- Highly developed interpersonal skills demonstrating an ability to effectively communicate with parents, students and staff
- Capable of empowering students to be independent and creative learners
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Be engaged in further professional development as part of continual learning and maintenance of Accreditation
