Rust Engineer | Sydney Based

Work for a product company building high-performance software at scale and growing its engineering team with multiple Rust hires.

n

This is proper systems-level Rust work. You'll be building high-performance, scalable backend systems designed to process large volumes of data where performance, concurrency and reliability genuinely matter.

What you'll be working on

n

- Building core backend services and infrastructure in Rust
n
- Designing systems for high-throughput, large-scale data processing
n
- Working heavily with async Rust, concurrency and distributed systems
n
- Solving performance, reliability and scalability challenges
n
- Contributing to architecture and technical decisions as the platform grows
n

n

What they're looking for

n

n
- Strong commercial Rust experience
n
- Async Rust, ideally Tokio
n




- Strong understanding of ownership, borrowing, lifetimes and memory management
n
- Experience with distributed systems, high-performance backends or data-intensive platforms
n
- Comfortable with concurrency, APIs and large-scale data processing
n
- gRPC, streaming and cloud experience is highly regarded but not essential
n
