What We Are Looking For
n
Applications are invited from qualified and enthusiastic educators for the position of Teacher (Inclusive Education). This is a full-time contract position commencing Term 1, 2027.
n
Under the direction of the Principal and in collaboration with classroom teachers the Teacher (Inclusive Education) will provide intervention support to students, especially those with specific learning needs.
n
Responsibilities
n
The successful applicant will demonstrate a strong commitment to inclusive education and enable equitable access, participation and achievement for diverse learners through expert support, collaboration and high-impact teaching. They will apply strong knowledge of legislation, including the Disability Standards for Education (2005) and NCCD, and evidence-based practice to support student outcomes and effective case management. The successful applicant will have well developed organisational skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills; the ability to work well in a team, as well as the ability to work autonomously.

Key responsibilities include:
n
n
- Provide expert advice on differentiation and adjustments.
n
- Working in collaboration with parents, teachers and students to ensure Personal Learning Plans are developed and communicated.
n
- Organise and timetable visiting paraprofessionals.
n
- Coordinate or contribute to case management processes with parents, teachers and external agencies and ensure timely and accurate NCCD documentation.
n
- Build staff capacity through coaching and collaborate with leaders to embed inclusive curriculum and accessible assessment design.
n

St Patrick's Catholic Primary School is situated in West Bundaberg and accepts enrolments from the whole Bundaberg district. We are proud to be a part of the Catholic Diocese of Rockhampton, and are closely aligned to the Bundaberg parish, which encompasses the whole Bundaberg region.

Mandatory Requirements

- Relevant tertiary qualifications and the ability to obtain approved Queensland College of Teachers Registration
n
- Australian work rights
n
n
Tertiary qualifications in the area of inclusive education or equivalent knowledge, qualifications and experience relevant to this role would be highly regarded.
