Base Salary from $113,400 + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

The Sydney Pharmacy School is internationally recognised for excellence in pharmacy education and research, driving innovation across medication management, pharmaceutical sciences, patient care and health policy. Our academics are committed to delivering outstanding education that prepares graduates to address the evolving healthcare needs of the community.

We are seeking to appoint two Associate Lecturers in Pharmacy (Education Focused) to join our collegial and high‑performing academic community during an exciting period of growth and transformation. In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of outstanding education through teaching and supporting students across pharmacy and pharmacological sciences disciplines, while developing your expertise in higher education teaching, curriculum design and educational innovation.

As part of the Sydney Pharmacy School, you will collaborate with leading academics across the Faculty of Medicine and Health, the broader health sector, and the University's multidisciplinary initiatives. This position offers an education-focused academic workload with a primary emphasis on teaching, learning and student support, alongside contributions to service, governance and engagement activities within the School and University.

Key Responsibilities





- Contribute to the delivery of outstanding education through high-quality teaching, learning, assessment and student support across pharmacy, pharmacology and related disciplines
- Contribute to curriculum design, review and educational innovation, supporting contemporary, engaging and evidence-based learning experiences that enhance student success
- Coordinate units of study and contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of assessment practices that support student learning outcomes
- Work collaboratively with senior colleagues to develop expertise in higher education teaching, curriculum design and educational leadership
- Contribute to student engagement, outreach and recruitment activities, including school engagement, orientation and community-facing initiatives
- Undertake service and administrative responsibilities that support the effective operation of the School, Faculty and University
- Contribute to the strategic priorities of the School, Faculty and University through teaching, service and engagement activities
- Contribute positively to a collaborative and inclusive academic culture that values diversity, innovation, excellence and mutual respect
- Undertake other duties commensurate with the level and responsibilities of the position.

About You

- A PhD in Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a closely related discipline, or evidence of near completion
- Demonstrated expertise in pharmacy,



pharmacology or pharmaceutical sciences, with the ability to contribute to teaching across relevant areas of the Sydney Pharmacy School
- Experience in teaching and learning within higher education and/or professional settings, including curriculum development, assessment design, laboratory, tutorial or classroom teaching
- A developing knowledge of contemporary pedagogical practice and evidence-based approaches to student learning and engagement
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to the design, implementation and evaluation of creative teaching and learning initiatives.
- Experience working collaboratively as part of multidisciplinary teaching teams
- An understanding of current and emerging issues within the discipline and the higher education sector, with the capacity to contribute to educational priorities
- A commitment to fostering inclusive, equitable and respectful learning and working environments that support students and colleagues from diverse backgrounds
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to contribute positively to a collaborative academic community.
