An opportunity is available for a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join a major public hospital and well-established mental health service in regional New South Wales.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist looking to join a supportive, multidisciplinary service where you can make a genuine difference to the mental health and wellbeing of children, adolescents and their families.

The Chance
n
You will join an experienced team providing specialist assessment and treatment to children and young people presenting with a broad range of mental health conditions.
n
The role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively across Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), community services and hospital-based programs, with scope to develop areas of clinical interest.
n
You will be supported by a multidisciplinary team including psychiatry, psychology, nursing, allied health and other specialist clinicians.

About You
n
To be considered, you will have:
n
n
- FRANZCP and specialist registration with AHPRA in Psychiatry, or eligibility for specialist registration
n
- Certificate of Advanced Training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, or substantial experience in the specialty
n
- Demonstrated experience working with children and adolescents across community and/or hospital settings
n
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic and treatment skills
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
n
- Commitment to quality improvement, education and evidence-based practice
n
n
Internationally trained psychiatrists who are assessed as substantially comparable by RANZCP are encouraged to enquire.
