About the role

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an Estimator with approximately 5-6 years' experience ready to take the next step in their career, with a clear pathway to becoming a Senior Estimator. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, this role presents an excellent opportunity to work on high-quality commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects while taking greater ownership of the end-to-end tender process.

You'll be responsible for:

n

n
- Reviewing tender documentation, drawings, specifications and contract requirements
n
- Determining project scope and preparing detailed trade scopes and tender packages
n
- Completing take-offs, Bills of Quantities, budgets and cost estimates
n
- Sourcing and assessing subcontractor and supplier quotations
n
- Preparing trade comparisons and negotiating to achieve the best value
n
- Identifying documentation gaps, risks, cost-saving opportunities and alternative solutions
n
- Preparing and submitting accurate tenders within required timeframes
n
- Responding to post-tender clarifications and supporting tender negotiations
n
- Completing a thorough handover to Project Managers and Contract Administrators
n

About you

n

You will bring excellent attention to detail, strong numerical and analytical skills, and the ability to prepare accurate, competitive tenders within required timeframes.

n





You'll also bring:

n

n
- 5-6 years' estimating experience within the commercial construction, fit-out or refurbishment sector
n
- Sound knowledge of construction methodology, trade packages and tender processes
n
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret drawings and specifications
n
- Proven ability to manage competing tenders and meet deadlines
n
- Sound working knowledge of Excel, Word and estimating or project management systems
n
- Proven ability to work with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal project teams
n
- Relevant qualifications in building, construction, engineering, quantity surveying or a related discipline
n
