About This Opportunity

We are eagerly seeking an allied health professional (i.e. Occupational Therapist), with project management experience, to join our School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences on a casual basis.

As the Project Manager, you will have the prospect to support the strategic and operational management of the SPEF-R2 Online platform, a nationally used student assessment and placement management system. In this position, you will lead stakeholder engagement and act as the primary liaison with participating universities for both project communications and routine troubleshooting for placement supervisors as system users. You will coordinate compliance activities and project manage improvement and upgrade initiatives to achieve alignment with accreditation requirements, and deliver outcomes across all aspects of the project life cycle including:

- Project initiation and planning
- Project administration and management
- Stakeholder engagement and communication
- Website system support
- Project governance and reporting
- Financial management

This is a casual role in which the hours of work will vary from week to week dependent upon project demands. Applicants will need to be available to work flexible hours in response to these demands. While we anticipate an average of approximately 8 hours of work per week, hours may increase over the coming months as project activity grows and business needs evolve.

To support our successful applicant, a comprehensive handover will be provided. Flexible work arrangements may also be available, including the option to work from home following a suitable induction period, and flexible start and finish times, subject to operational requirements and agreed core working hours.

About You

Our ideal applicant will be an allied health professional with:

- Demonstrated experience successfully managing projects with a range of stakeholders, ideally within a large and/or complex and/or health/education organisational context.
- Experience coordinating project working groups, including planning, organising, and monitoring outcomes.
- Demonstrated high level organisational ability, attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant project management tools or equivalent practical methodology for monitoring project progress.
- High-level interpersonal skills, including the effective liaison and negotiation skills needed to develop and maintain strong working relationships with the governance team, the software vendor, and the institutions using the tool.
