Our Kent Street Private Day Surgery, located within our Sydney CBD clinic, specialises in gynaecological and fertility services. Our procedures currently include IVF, gynaecology and urology services, with plastics anticipated to be introduced as part of our continued development.

A role with unique responsibilities
We are looking for experienced Perioperative Nurses who are passionate about delivering outstanding patient care and want to make a positive impact on the patient experience. Our world-class theatre facilities were designed with premium patient experience in mind. The care our teams deliver is empathetic, empowering, and consistent throughout the patient journey and we are guided by the Monash IVF Group principles to care, commit, communicate, collaborate, and create.
You will play a significant role in the smooth running and efficiency of our day surgery hospital. You will be responsible for providing best-in-class day surgery services to our patients undertaking procedures relating to fertility, as well as maintaining a professional standard of practice for all services provided.
We are seeking Registered Nurses to join our team on a casual basis who are experienced in Scrub/Scout.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Undertaking day surgery duties including, scrub and scout,
and may include anaesthetic, admissions and
recovery
- Performing relevant procedures within level of competency
- Communicating with the multidisciplinary teams effectively to identify patient’s individual problems and
needs, and to implement care
- Maintaining professional relationships with all clinical staff within the Monash CBD clinic
- Practice in compliance with National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHSS) requirements
- Report all patient accidents / incidents
- Demonstrating commitment towards the Monash IVF Mission and Principles

You will be a passionate team player who has a commitment to quality, best practice and workplace safety.
Ideally you will bring the following:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in theatre
- Experience in a fertility setting (advantageous)
- Ability to communicate within multi-disciplinary teams
- Genuine desire to provide outstanding customer service and patient care
- Flexible, can-do attitude
- Time management skills with an ability to cope under pressure and prioritise in a fast-paced new environment
- Thrive in a team environment
- A willingness to embrace the Monash IVF Group Principles: Care, Collaborate, Communicate, Commitment and Create.
