Role Purpose

Reporting to the General Manager of Kingsley the Business Development Manager is responsible for driving new business acquisition, building strong commercial relationships and growing revenue across key market segments.

With a Customer Obsessed mindset and a Spirit of Wonder, you'll champion Crystalbrook Kingsley and Crystalbrook Collection in the market, identifying opportunities and creating meaningful partnerships across Corporate, Government, Conference and Incentive and Leisure segments.

This is a highly proactive and relationship-focused role for someone who enjoys being out in the market, connecting with people and turning opportunities into results.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

- Driving proactive prospecting and new business development across Corporate, Government, Conference and Incentive and Leisure market segments.
- Identifying, qualifying and converting current business opportunities across accommodation, meetings, events and catering.
- Building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with key clients, stakeholders and industry partners.
- Working closely with Global Sales and the wider hotel team to maximise revenue opportunities and strengthen market share.
- Supporting non-managed account activity through group quotations, proposals and conversion strategies.
- Creating and delivering innovative sales strategies informed by market knowledge, commercial insight and customer needs.
- Hosting site inspections, familiarisation visits and stakeholder experiences that bring the Crystalbrook Kingsley story to life.
- Representing Crystalbrook at trade shows, sales missions, networking events and industry functions.
- Delivering agreed financial and non-financial objectives while contributing to the hotel's overall commercial strategy.
- Maintaining accurate and timely customer information,



sales activity and forecasting within Opera Sales and Catering and other relevant CRM systems.
- Working closely with operational teams to ensure smooth handovers and the successful delivery of commitments made to clients.
- Promoting the hotel's rooms, venues, food and beverage experiences and broader Crystalbrook Collection portfolio at every appropriate opportunity.
- Monitoring market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities to support forward-looking sales strategies.
- Managing sales administration, proposals and customer documentation with accuracy, pace and attention to detail.
- Building strong relationships across the hotel and supporting a collaborative, high-performing sales culture.
- Taking ownership of your professional development, including financial literacy, negotiation and face-to-face selling capability.
- Managing expenditure responsibly and in accordance with approved budgets and company processes.
- Leading by example and representing Crystalbrook with professionalism, integrity and a Customer Obsessed approach.

Skills & Experience

We're looking for a commercially driven and relationship-focused sales professional who thrives on identifying opportunities, building partnerships and achieving results.

You'll bring:

- Demonstrated experience in hospitality sales, business development or a related commercial environment.
- A proven ability to proactively identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to create credibility and trust with stakeholders at all levels.
- Confidence engaging with senior executives, decision-makers and industry partners.
- Excellent communication, presentation and storytelling skills with the ability to bring the Crystalbrook experience to life.
- Commercial curiosity and the ability to understand customer needs, market trends and revenue opportunities.
- A tenacious and proactive approach to prospecting, lead generation and conversion.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.




- High attention to detail across administration, proposals, reporting and customer documentation.
- A solutions-focused mindset with the ability to remain calm and adaptable in a changing environment.
- Strong initiative and the confidence to take ownership and follow opportunities through to completion.
- Experience using CRM systems and sales technology is advantageous.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management or a related discipline are desirable.
