We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Qualified Allied Health Assistant to join our District Services team.
About the Role
As an Allied Health Assistant, you will support health professionals to deliver person-centred care across hospital, community and home-based settings. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you'll assist with both clinical and administrative tasks that contribute to positive health outcomes for our clients and community.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting clients with therapy and exercise programs in individual and group settings
- Supporting activities of daily living and rehabilitation programs
- Maintaining accurate client documentation and records
- Coordinating appointments and administrative tasks
- Providing feedback to clinicians on client progress
- Assisting with service coordination across acute, sub-acute and community programs
- Contributingtoqualityimprovementinitiativesandsafeworkplacepractices
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Essential
- Qualification as an Allied Health Assistant or relevant equivalent qualification
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A caring, positive and person-centred approach to client care
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- Commitment to maintaining safe, clean and effective work environments
- Ability to complete tasks accurately and report outcomes effectively
Desirable
- Experience working in a health, rehabilitation or aged care setting
- Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
- Understanding of primary care and community support services

Classification: Allied Health Assistant Grade 2-3 (dependent on qualifications)
Enterprise Agreement: Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers Agreement
Immunisation Category: Category A (direct patient contact)
