About the role

The Donor & Surrogacy Coordinator plays an important role at Monash IVF, providing ongoing, compassionate support to prospective donors, recipients, surrogates, and intended parents throughout their journey. Delivering exceptional customer service with empathy, professionalism, and discretion, you will directly enhance the overall patient experience. This role requires strong organisational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage sensitive situations with care.

Well suited to individuals with a Donor and Surrogacy, and healthcare background, this position is ideal for those who bring a strong understanding of patient care, coupled with emotional intelligence and a genuine passion for supporting others through life-changing experiences. Your responsibilities will include:

- Provide high-quality, compassionate support to patients, ensuring all interactions are respectful, responsive, and patient-centred
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for donors, recipients, surrogates, and intended parents
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulatory guidelines and standards
- Coordinate and manage multiple patient allocations, supporting progression to assisted reproductive treatment
- Oversee the selection and allocation process of donors to recipients
- Maintain accurate donor and inventory records




- Collaborate and liaise with internal departments and key stakeholders on donor-related matters
- Sound understanding of state based legislation and regulations

About You
The Donor & Surrogacy Coordinator will demonstrate a genuine interest in the fertility industry, with a particular focus on donor and surrogacy programs, and a strong sensitivity to the needs of patients throughout their journey. This role is well suited to individuals with a background in Donor and Surrogacy, and healthcare, who bring a patient-centred approach, clinical understanding, and the ability to navigate complex and sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.

Ideally, you will bring:

- Previous experience in Donor & Surrogacy (highly regarded)
- Experience managing patient expectations and providing transparent, supportive information
- A strong understanding of donor (egg, sperm, embryo) and surrogacy programs and processes
- Ability to work cohesively within an established team
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and guidelines relating to donor and surrogacy
- A compassionate and empathetic approach, particularly during sensitive conversations
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise, time manage, and meet deadlines
- High attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for contributing to a growing industry
- Tertiary qualifications in science, health science or nursing (desirable but not essential)
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
