The Opportunity
n
This is an opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to contribute their specialist expertise to an important and highly focused piece of work.
n
Working within the People Team, you will support detailed payroll assurance activities, with a particular focus on the remediation of Overseas Conditions of Service allowances and a Long Service Leave audit.
n
This is not a business-as-usual payroll role, you will be applying your technical knowledge and analytical capability to investigate historical payroll information, validate employee entitlements and identify discrepancies requiring further action.
n
For someone who enjoys solving complex payroll problems, getting into the detail and seeing work through to a clear outcome, this role offers the opportunity to make a genuine contribution while working on specialised and time-critical assurance activities.

The Role
n
This role is hands-on and technical, focused on reviewing payroll records and resolving entitlement discrepancies.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
- Reviewing payroll records relating to Overseas Conditions of Service allowances and Long Service Leave
n
- Validating entitlements and leave balances against policy and legislative requirements
n
- Identifying and documenting instances of overpayment or underpayment
n
- Preparing clear, well-evidenced assessment reports to support remediation decisions
n
- Supporting remediation activity in accordance with Commonwealth payroll obligations
n
n
The Ideal Person
n
You will be an experienced payroll professional with strong technical knowledge and a demonstrated background in payroll audit, assurance and reconciliation.
n
You will be comfortable navigating complex payroll records, interpreting conditions of employment and validating employee entitlements.
n
You will bring a sound understanding of payroll legislation, employment conditions, leave provisions and employee entitlements, together with experience using Aurion or a comparable payroll system.
n
You will be analytical, thorough and comfortable working independently on detailed and time-sensitive activities.
n
You will also understand the importance of confidentiality and bring the judgement and professionalism required when working with sensitive employee information.
n
This role will suit someone who enjoys getting to the bottom of complex payroll issues and applying your expertise to work where accuracy, evidence and sound documentation genuinely matter.

Salary / Rate
n
n
- $75/hr – $100/hr + Super
n
- The ability to obtain or a current Baseline clearance is preferred
n
- 6 – 9 Month labour hire contract
n
