We're looking for an experienced Production Manager to take ownership of our Victorian production operations and lead a growing team from our Braeside facility.

n

Reporting directly to the State Manager, this is a hands‐on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys managing people, improving processes and making sure things get done properly and on time.

Plan daily and weekly production schedules around upcoming installations and customer requirements

Allocate labour and resources to maximise productivity

n

Oversee the building, programming, testing and preparation of security equipment

n

Manage stock levels, purchasing and inventory control

n

Monitor production performance, quality and departmental KPIs

n

Identify bottlenecks and implement practical process improvements

n

Develop and maintain SOPs, checklists and production procedures

n

Maintain high quality‐control standards across completed equipment

n

Conduct workplace inspections, toolbox meetings and safety audits

n

Maintain a clean, organised and safe production environment

n

Train, mentor and develop team members

Assist with recruitment, onboarding and performance management

n

Provide regular production updates to the State Manager

n

Provide occasional after‐hours technical support when required

n

About You

n

We're looking for a leader who takes ownership.

n

You'll be organised, practical and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast‐moving environment. You'll know how to set expectations, hold people accountable and build a positive, productive team culture.

n

Ideally, you'll bring:

n

Previous experience managing a production, manufacturing, workshop or technical team

n

Strong leadership and people‐management skills

n

Experience within a technical assembly, electrical, electronics or similar environment

n

Excellent planning and organisational skills

n

Strong problem‐solving ability

n

Experience improving processes and operational efficiency

n

Understanding of inventory and stock management

n

Experience with quality assurance and continuous improvement

n

Strong written and verbal communication skills

n

High attention to detail

n

A proactive, solutions‐focused approach

n

The ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities

n

Requirements

n

Current Australian Driver's Licence

n

n

White Card, or willingness to obtain one

n

First Aid Certificate, or willingness to obtain one

n

Why Join iDetect Group?

n

This isn't a role where you'll simply maintain an existing production department. We're looking for someone who wants to take ownership, improve the operation and make their mark.

You'll have the opportunity to:

n

Lead and develop a growing production team

n

Have genuine ownership of the production operation

n

If you're an experienced Production Manager, Workshop Manager, Operations Manager or Technical Team Leader looking for your next challenge, we'd like to hear from you.

n

Key Selling Points

n

Lead & Make an Impact – Take ownership of production and lead a growing team

n
