The Law Society of South Australia is seeking a welcoming and proactive Reception and Member Services Administration Officer to join our Corporate Services team. As the first point of contact for our members, visitors and the broader community, you'll play an important role in delivering exceptional service while supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of the Society.
This is a varied and rewarding role that combines reception, customer service, member support and administration in a professional, collaborative and purpose-driven environment.

About the Role
Based at Reception, you'll be the welcoming face and voice of the Society. You'll assist members, visitors and the public, coordinate enquiries, manage bookings, support membership services and provide a wide range of administrative support.
You'll work across a diverse range of activities, from assisting with community legal services and event registrations to maintaining records and supporting member engagement initiatives. As the first point of contact for the Society, you'll support people across a wide range of enquiries and situations, exercising sound judgement, professionalism and discretion while delivering a consistently positive experience.
The role offers a balance of stakeholder interaction and focused administrative work. You'll work closely with colleagues across the organisation to coordinate information, support members and contribute to positive outcomes.You'll be comfortable working independently at reception, using your initiative and maintaining a high level of service throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities
Provide a warm,
professional and welcoming reception experience for members, visitors and stakeholders.
Manage the Society's main switchboard and direct enquiries appropriately.
Respond to a broad range of member and public enquiries with professionalism, empathy and discretion.
Manage multiple priorities while maintaining a calm, responsive and solutions-focused approach.
Coordinate meeting room bookings and reception administration.
Support community legal services and referral programs.
Assist with membership administration, applications and member enquiries.
Process registrations for events and services.
Maintain accurate records, databases and correspondence.
Provide administrative support across the organisation.
Assist with committee and meeting administration as required.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Society to coordinate enquiries and support positive member outcomes.

Experience in reception, administration, customer service or other stakeholder-facingroles.
Excellent customer service skills and a professional, approachable manner.
The ability to support people through a range of enquiries and situations with empathy, professionalism, sound judgement and a practical,
solutions-focused approach.
The ability to remain calm, patient and solutions-focused when managing multiple priorities, unexpected situations, complex enquiries or sensitive conversations.
Strong administrative and data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook and Excel, and learning new systems and technology.
Experience using databases, electronic records systems or similar technology.
A proactive and collaborative approach, sound judgement and willingness to learn.
A commitment to professionalism, confidentiality and attention to detail.
The following experience would be well regarded but is not essential:
Experience within a legal, professional services, membership, not-for-profit or similar environment.
Experience supporting committees, preparing agendas or taking minutes.
Familiarity with membership databases or accounting systems.
Experience engaging with people from diverse backgrounds and communities.

Salary: Negotiated according to skills, qualifications and experience
