Your Role as an OT Grad

n

As an Occupational Therapy Graduate at Early Start Australia, you'll help children build independence, confidence, and everyday life skills through engaging, evidence-based therapy.

n

You will:

n

n
- Help children achieve developmental milestones, including fine motor skills, handwriting, hand-eye coordination, self-care, and school readiness skills.
n
- Support children to develop independence with everyday activities such as dressing, feeding, toileting, bathing, and personal care.
n
- Educate and empower parents, carers, teachers, and support networks to continue skill development beyond therapy sessions.
n
- Help children develop emotional regulation and positive behavioural strategies across home, school, and community environments.
n
- Create meaningful therapy plans tailored to each child's goals and individual strengths.
n
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care and positive outcomes for children and families.
n
- Celebrate every achievement, from small daily wins to major developmental milestones.
n

You Will Also Have:

n

n
- A degree in Occupational Therapy
n
- Eligibility for AHPRA registration upon graduation
n
- Recently graduated or graduating in early 2027
n
- A current driver's licence and access to a vehicle with third-party insurance
n
- A Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration, or willingness to obtain
n
- A current Police Check, or willingness to obtain
n
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, or willingness to obtain
n
- First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain
n
- Strong communication, organisation, and time management skills
n
- A genuine passion for supporting children and families
n
