Responsibilities

- Work with business user to gather requirements; wireframe and sign-off
n
- Front End development – build menus, forms, dashboards to allow 'self-service' access to data; data analysis and visualisation;
n
- Developing in Python (also writing in libraries such as pandas, API's)
n
- Developing database queries (SQL Server) and ETL/ELT pipelines;
n
- Integration of Ai into process using Databricks;
n
- Code repository using git;
n
- Data cleansing and rationalising collection points and methods;
n
- Reviewing and improving existing system and business processes;
n
- Process automation;
n
- Project implementation and integration;
n
- Service provider management (logs, bug fixes, upgrades etc);
n
- Data security & management (Back-ups etc);
n
- Database management & knowledge of Airflow.
n

The Successful Candidate

- A Graduate degree in Computer Science, IT or Software engineering;
n
- The ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
n
- Team player;
n
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
n
- Ability to work to tight deadlines;
n

- Strong mathematical results from university;
n
- An interest in and a desire to work in financial services; and
n
- Brisbane based or willing to move to Brisbane
n
- You must be an Australian citizen or hold PR to be considered for this role.

Desired Skills and Experience

n

n
- Experience in the MS Azure ecosystem (SQL Server and ELT; Flow; Teams; Sharepoint; Rapid API)
n
- Excellent Python & SQL skills;
n
- Experience working with Airflow; sftp; Web apps development (Flask; Javascript; Vue.js);
n
- Basic Linux experience;
n
- Technical expertise in data models, database design and data mining techniques;
n
- 1-2 years work experience, preferably developing in Financial Services
n
- Proven experience of using data analysis and visualisation tools;
n
- Outstanding critical thinking and analytical skills;
n
- An understanding of the funds management and/or broader financial services industry; and
n
- Resilience, sincerity, and tenacity.
