About the role
n
We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our maintenance team at Vinidex's manufacturing facility in Toowoomba.
n
This hands‐on role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting electrical faults, carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance, and ensuring our production equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently.
n
This position offers a varied workload across heavy industrial equipment, automation systems, robotics, and advanced manufacturing technology, providing excellent opportunities to further develop your technical skills.
n
Rotational on call coverage
n
n
- Monday to Thursday: 6:30am - 4:30pm
n
- Friday: 6:30am - 2:00pm
n
n
What will you do?
n
n
- Conduct breakdown and reactive maintenance activities across the site and facilities.
n
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and monitor production assets to maximise equipment reliability, plant performance, and uptime.
n
- Apply a solutions-focused approach to fault finding, preventative maintenance, and breakdown response, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
n
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Maintenance, Production, Tooling, and Manufacturing teams to support operational requirements and plant performance.
n
- Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring SWMS, JSEA, Permit to Work (PTW), and other risk management processes are followed and effectively implemented.
n
- Complete preventative and corrective maintenance tasks, equipment repairs, and maintenance work orders in a planned and timely manner.
n
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and work history within the MEX/CMMS system.
n
- Support maintenance shutdowns, reliability initiatives, and continuous improvement projects across the site.
n

About you
n
n
- Current Australian Electrical Licence (essential).
n
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing, industrial maintenance, or similar engineering environment.
n
- Strong understanding of the Electrical Safety Act, Australian Wiring Standards, and safe work practices.
n
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining industrial electrical systems in a fast‐paced production environment.
n
- Advanced knowledge of Variable Speed Drives (AC/DC), PLCs,
SCADA systems, and automation controls.
n
- Experience working with automation, robotics, and modern manufacturing equipment.
n
- Proficiency using CMMS systems (MEX or equivalent), with SAP experience highly regarded.
n
- Excellent fault‐finding, diagnostic, and problem‐solving skills.
n
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the business.
n
- Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritise competing maintenance activities in a dynamic environment.
n
