Wilmar Sugar Australia is looking for a Diesel Fitter to join our team at Plane Creek Mill in Sarina.

n

Work on More Than Just Trucks

n

As part of our maintenance team, you'll keep our locomotive fleet and mobile plant operating safely and reliably.

n

Your days could involve:

n

n
- Keeping heavy equipment moving – Service and maintain trucks, tractors and other diesel-powered mobile plant.
n
- Working on locomotives – Carry out preventative maintenance, fault finding, inspections and repairs across our locomotive fleet.
n
- Solve problems, not just breakdowns – Identify issues and help improve the reliability and performance of our equipment.
n
- Pass on your knowledge – Support apprentices and trainees through hands-on training, guidance and mentoring.
n
- Work with a great team – Collaborate with Work Coordinators and the wider maintenance team to plan and deliver effective maintenance.
n
- Keep things running smoothly – Complete work orders, permits, timesheets and maintenance documentation accurately.

What We're Looking For

n

We're looking for someone who enjoys getting their hands dirty, solving mechanical problems and working with heavy equipment.

n

You'll ideally have:

n

n
- A recognised Diesel Fitter/Diesel Mechanic trade qualification
n
- Experience working with heavy mobile plant, diesel equipment or similar machinery
n




- A current manual driver's licence
n
- Current Confined Space Entry and Working Safely at Heights tickets
n
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
n
- A genuine commitment to safety and teamwork
n
