About The Jet Co

The Jet Co is a growing Sydney-based exterior cleaning and property services business servicing residential, commercial and large-scale clients across Sydney.

n

We currently operate a fleet of four service vehicles with a team of field technicians supported by administration staff.

n

As one of NSW's highest-reviewed exterior cleaning companies, we have built a strong reputation and established customer base, with significant opportunity for further growth.

n

We are now looking for an experienced and commercially minded General Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the business and help lead its next stage of growth.

n

This is a hands-on leadership position. We are looking for someone who enjoys being close to the operation, solving problems, developing people, improving systems and building a high-performing service business.

The Role

n

Reporting directly to the owner, you will have broad responsibility for the operational and commercial performance of The Jet Co.

n

You will be trusted to run the day-to-day business, manage the team, improve our systems and build the structure required as the company continues to grow.

n

A key early responsibility will be recruiting, onboarding and managing a dedicated sales professional to strengthen our sales capability and drive further growth.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

Taking overall responsibility for day-to-day business operations

n

Leading and managing field technicians and administration staff

n

Recruiting, onboarding and managing a dedicated sales skilled

n

Developing and monitoring sales targets, KPIs and performance

n

Overseeing scheduling, workforce allocation and vehicle utilisation

n





Ensuring jobs are delivered efficiently, safely and to a high standard

n

Managing larger commercial projects and key client requirements

n

Resolving operational issues, customer escalations and staff matters

n

Monitoring labour costs, job profitability and operational expenditure

n

Improving business systems, processes and standard operating procedures

n

Overseeing fleet, equipment, maintenance and operational resources

n

Recruiting and developing additional team members as the business grows

n

Establishing clear accountability and performance standards throughout the company

n

Working with administration/accounts staff to maintain strong financial processes

n

Providing clear weekly reporting on operational, sales and financial performance

n

Identifying opportunities to improve profitability, productivity and customer experience

n

Working directly with ownership on growth strategy and the future direction of the company

n

What We're Looking For

n

We are looking for a strong operator and people leader who is ready to take genuine responsibility for the performance of a growing business.

n

Experience within commercial cleaning, facilities management, field services, trades, maintenance, landscaping, construction services, equipment hire or another service-based business would be highly regarded.

n

The successful candidate will ideally have:

n

Demonstrated experience managing operational teams

n

Strong leadership and people-management capability

n

Experience recruiting, developing and holding staff accountable

n





Strong commercial and financial understanding

n

Experience managing KPIs, budgets and business performance

n

The ability to understand job profitability and control operational costs

n

Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills

n

Experience implementing and improving business systems and processes

n

Confidence dealing with customers and commercial clients

n

The ability to make decisions independently and take ownership of outcomes

n

Experience managing or building a sales function would be highly regarded

n

A practical, hands-on management style

n

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who takes ownership and gets things done.

n

When a vehicle breaks down, a team member calls in sick, a major client needs something resolved or the schedule suddenly changes, you will have the authority and responsibility to find the solution.

Remuneration

n

$120,000 – $135,000 + superannuation

n

A performance-based incentive may be applicable.

n

Remuneration will depend on experience and demonstrated capability.
