Job Description
Are you passionate about helping people recover from workplace injuries while also playing a key role in creating safer workplaces? We're partnering with an iconic multi-site Australian hospitality organisation that is investing heavily in its workplace health, safety and wellbeing capability.

An exciting chance has been created for a Work Health & Safety Officer to take ownership of workers' compensation and return to work activities, while supporting broader safety initiatives.
n
About the Role
n
Reporting into the Work Health & Safety Manager, you'll be the go-to specialist for workers' compensation, return to work and injury management, while partnering on a range of workplace health and safety initiatives.
n
You'll be responsible for:
n
n
- Managing workers' compensation claims from end to end
n
- Coordinating return to work programs and injury management plans
n
- Liaising with injured workers, rehabilitation providers and insurers
n
- Conducting incident investigations and supporting corrective actions
n
- Reviewing claims performance, insurance matters and annual renewals
n
- Partnering with operational leaders to improve outcomes
n
- Supporting workplace inspections, risk assessments and safety reviews
n
- Contributing to ongoing WHS projects, compliance activities and safety culture initiatives
n
- Analysing injury trends and identifying opportunities for risk reduction and prevention
n
n
About You
n
You'll likely bring experience from:
n
n
- Workers' compensation or claims management environments
n
- Injury management or rehabilitation services
n
- Return to work coordination roles
n
- Hospitality, restaurant or franchise-based operations
n
- Workplace investigations or safety-related positions
n
n
We're particularly interested in candidates with:
n
n
- Strong workers' compensation and return to work expertise
n
- Experience managing workplace injury claims and investigations
n
- Knowledge of rehabilitation and recovery processes
n
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and confidence to work directly with operational leaders
n
- An interest in developing broader WHS capability over time
n
